PROMOTION DESCRIPTION
The 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest (the "Contest") entices eligible participants to submit free entries, via online or mail, into weekly promotional draws tied to brand awareness, wherein 21 prizes of getaway packages to one of three Seven Clans Casino Minnesota locations are given away by the Red Lake Gaming Enterprises Incorporated. Void where prohibited. Some restrictions apply. No purchase required.
CONTEST SPONSOR
This contest is sponsored by Red Lake Gaming Enterprises Incorporated (the "Contest Sponsor") that operates three gaming facilities in Minnesota as 'Seven Clans Casinos'. The entire entity is owned and operated by the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians.
CONTEST PERIOD
The 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest commences 12:00:00 a.m. Central Standard Daylight Savings Time on Monday, November 16, 2009 and ends 11:59:59 p.m. Central Standard Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, December 27, 2009 (the "Contest Period").
HOW TO ENTER
There are two ways to enter the 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest:
Online
Eligible participants can visit www.EscapetoSevenClans.com and complete the online registration form in full by following all online instructions. Required information will include:
- Full legal name
- Permanent mailing address
- Valid email address
- Phone number reachable during regular business hours
- Alpha-numeric security verification code ("Security Code")
- Indicate agreement to the provisions of the Official Rules
- Confirmation that eligibility requirements have been reviewed and that you are eligible to play
- Optional request to receive information about Seven Clans Casinos in the future via e-newsletter
Participants can submit a registration form once a day per valid email address during the contest period. A day is defined as the 24-hour period starting at 12:00:00 a.m. on a given day and ending that day at 11:59:59 p.m. (Central Standard Daylight Savings Time).
Technical Requirements
The following minimum requirements are required to access the online registration option:
- Browsers on PC: IE6, IE7, IE8, Google Chrome, Firefox 2 and Firefox 3
- Browsers on Mac: Firefox 3 and Safari 4
Online registration will be available via mobile devices with Internet connections.
Note respecting Official Website and Online Access:
If a Participant does not have immediate Internet access, the Participant may choose to inquire in his/her locality about where and how that access can be obtained. The Sponsor understands that many public libraries in Canada and the United States do offer Internet access on terms adopted by each such library facility. If a Participant participates from a public computer, he/she should not check "Remember Me" as part of his/her registration.
Eligible participants can also register by providing the following information legibly printed on a single piece of paper (not exceeding 8.5” x 11”) by the participant manually in ink:

Mailed entries must be received on or before 11:59:59 p.m. Central Standard Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, December 27, 2009.
The return address on the exterior envelope must be the same as the address that appears on the entry enclosed or it will not be honored.
Entrants may only use one email or mailing address to enter. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified.
By entering this contest, participants unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by these official rules and the decision of the Contest Sponsor, which shall be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the contest. Red Lake Gaming Enterprises Incorporated (Seven Clans Casinos) in its sole and absolute discretion may engage various third parties to administer various aspects of the contest on its behalf.
ELIGIBILITY
The 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest is open to:
- residents of Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) and the fifty United States
- people who are of legal minimum age for gambling in their province or state of permanent residence at the time of entry
- individuals who are not enrolled in the Seven Clans Casino Players Club programs
Current members of the Player Club loyalty programs offered by Seven Clans Casinos as: Wabiik Club Card (Red Lake, MN), Zhooniya Players Club (Thief River Falls, MN), and Warroad Seven Clans Casinos Players Club Card (Warroad, MN) will be ineligible to be contestants in the 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest. We encourage all contestants to apply for membership.

Participants are only eligible to win one prize during the contest period. If a participant is selected more than once, the subsequent entry(s) would be disqualified.
Any person who, on or after November 16, 2009, was or is an employee, officer or director of Red Lake Gaming Enterprises Incorporated (Seven Clans Casinos), its respective divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, contest suppliers, prize suppliers and judges, members of their immediate families (parents, siblings, spouses) and those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to participate in or win the contest.
CONTEST DETAILS
Prize Quantities and Values
The 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest will offer 21 getaway package prizes distributed over 6 a week period with a total estimated contest value of $29,400 USD.
During the contest period, there will be weekly draws for getaway packages that include accommodations for two consecutive nights (Sunday through Thursday) and meal vouchers (six) at one of three Seven Clans Casino establishments for the winner and one guest, plus $1,000 in gaming cash. The approximate value of each package is $1,400 USD.
The contest would result in a three winners per week, with the exception of the sixth and final week where six winners will be announced. There will be a total of 21 getaway packages, 7 to each location.
Regional Allocation of Prizes
The 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINO is open to residents of Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) and the fifty United States. The award process will not allocate prizes by region.
Mechanics of the Contest and the Odds of Winning
Entries received through mailed submission will be converted into online registrations through data entry by a third party.
At approximately 2:00:00 pm Central Standard Daylight Savings Time on the scheduled draw dates, three potential winning Participant will be selected randomly by a computer from all the valid entries received during the acceptance periods. The Participant who submitted the selected entry will be the winner of a Prize if they comply with these Official Rules, including correctly answering the Skill-Testing Question.
- The participant on the first ticket drawn will be eligible to win a getaway package at Seven Clans Casino- Red Lake, MN.
- The participant on the second ticket drawn will be eligible to win a getaway package at Seven Clans Casino- Thief River Falls, MN.
- The participant on the third ticket drawn will be eligible to win a getaway package at Seven Clans Casino- Warroad, MN.
The final draw of the promotion on Monday, December 28, 2009, which includes entries received between Monday, December 21, 2009 and Sunday, December 27, 2009, will feature two winners per location (total of six draws).
- The participants on the first and forth ticket drawn will be eligible to win a getaway package at Seven Clans Casino- Red Lake, MN.
- The participants on the second and fifth ticket drawn will be eligible to win a getaway package at Seven Clans Casino- Thief River Falls, MN.
- The participants on the third and sixth ticket drawn will be eligible to win a getaway package at Seven Clans Casino- Warroad, MN.

Winners of weekly drawings will only be picked from entries of that particular week. Other entries from previous weeks will not be eligible for any other future drawings.
Odds of being selected as the potential winner of a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
Skill Testing Question
Before being declared a winner of a prize, the selected participant must complies with the requirements of these official rules; including, if he/she is resident in Canada, correctly answering a time-limited arithmetic skill-testing question (a "Skill-Testing Question"), without assistance of any kind, that will be administered over the telephone at a mutually agreed upon time.
Contest Close Date
The 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest officially closes on December 27, 2009 at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Standard Daylight Savings Time.
No purchase is necessary to enter the contest.

Prize Details
The intent of the 2009 ESCAPE TO SEVEN CLANS CASINOS contest is to build brand awareness and encourage visitors to their gaming facilities to enjoy their many offerings.
Every location offers:
- casino open 24 hours with slot machines, blackjack and poker tables
- gift shop featuring authentic Native American crafts
- Players Club membership benefits and free enrolment
Each location offers a different combination of amenities, which might include:
- connected hotel/ neighboring related motel
- full service restaurant with an in house chef/ neighboring related restaurant/ buffet service/ concession stand
- water park/ swimming pool/ arcade/ conference and event center
Please note that all three Seven Clans Casino locations allow indoor smoking, but prohibit on site alcohol consumption.
For the purpose of this contest, each location will endeavor to offer comparable values of travel and meal allowances, accommodations, and gaming cash.

The approximate retail values of prizes as stated by the Contest Sponsor in advertising, promotion materials, and/or in these rules are subject to price fluctuations based on, among other things, the passage of time between the date the approximate retail values are stated by the Contest Sponsor and the date the prizes are awarded or redeemed. If, at the time a prize is redeemed or awarded, the actual prevailing retail purchase price for the prize is less than the approximate retail value started by the Contest Sponsor radio and print advertising, promotion materials, online promotions, and/or in these rules, the prize winner will not be entitled to a check or cash for the price difference.
Prize includes only those items listed and does not include: travel expenses, personal and miscellaneous expenses of any kind for a Winner and/or his/her Guest, expenses of any kind of personal, medical, health, or hospital insurance, gratuities, communication charges, off-site meals and beverages (including alcoholic beverages), sightseeing and entrance or admission fees not expressly included in the Prize description above.
A Winner and his/her Guest must possess, at the Winner’s sole cost, proper legal identification to travel to Minnesota, and, if traveling with a Minor, must be in possession of the original notarized parental consent form(s) and the other Travel Documents required to undertake and complete the trip. A Winner and his/her Guest accept full responsibility for obtaining the documents referred to in this paragraph at his/her sole expense. The Sponsor is not responsible for obtaining, or for the cost of, any insurance.
Getaway package prizes must be redeemed with advanced booking for two consecutive nights Sunday through Thursday only based on availability (Blackout dates and Holidays apply) between January 10, 2010 and May 31, 2010.
Reservation arrangements cannot be modified under any circumstances once booked with the Contest Sponsor. If a potential winning Participant is unable to travel on the dates of reservation, the Sponsor will have no further obligation to that potential winning Participant in respect to the prize to which that Participant may be entitled, and that prize will be forfeited and will not be awarded in the contest.
Prize Claim Date
The selected participant must claim their prize within ten business days of the draw date (the "Prize Claim Date").
Prize Award
Attempts will be made by representatives of the Contest Sponsor to contact the selected entrant by email, mail, or telephone for a period of ten business days following the draw date. If any selected entrant cannot be contacted by email, mail, or telephone within such ten business day period, by the prize claim date, he/she will forfeit the prize.
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select at random an alternate eligible entrant, whom representatives of the Contest Sponsor will attempt to contact for a further period of ten business days following his/ her selection, and who will be subject to disqualification, in the same manner as herein provided, if he/she cannot successfully be contacted or otherwise fails to comply with these contest rules.
To be declared a winner of a prize, the selected participant must comply with the requirements of these official rules [including, if he/she is resident in Canada or the USA, if he/she is of legal gambling age, and correctly answering a time-limited arithmetic skill-testing question (a "Skill-Testing Question"), without assistance of any kind, that will be administered over the telephone at a mutually agreed upon time], and complete, sign and return a Declaration and Release Form (and any other documents, as applicable) by prize claim date.
Although enrollment into the Seven Clans Casinos Players Club is not a requirement to claim a prize, we would invite all participants to join our free membership program to be eligible for other promotions and benefits.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, exchanged or refunded. Seven Clans Casinos reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize or portion thereof with one of at least equal value, in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize(s) or any portion thereof (including, without limitation, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsor, a cash award).
The decisions of the Contest Sponsor and/or the contest judges are final and binding, without right of appeal, with respect to all aspects of this contest (including without limitation, eligibility and/or disqualification of entries) and entrant agrees to abide by the contest rules and all of the instructions and decisions of the Contest Sponsor and/or contest judges. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these contest rules, the decision or interpretation of the Contest Sponsor and/or contest judges shall prevail.
Prize Forfeit
A prize may be forfeited by that selected entrant is:
- the prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date
- cannot be reached within the timeframe specified above
- is not in compliance with these contest rules
- incorrectly answers the skill-testing question
- declines the prize
- email or mail correspondence between the Contest Sponsor and selected entrant is returned as undeliverable without a forwarding address
- fails to return the Declaration and Release form (and any other documents, as applicable) by the Prize Claim Date
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select another entrant from the remaining eligible entries for the prize. Prizes will be awarded subject to these contest rules, upon receipt of the properly completed and executed Declaration and Release form and verification of prize winner.
GENERAL DISCLAIMERS
No communications will be entered into except with selected entrants. For a list of winners, visit www.EscapetoSevenClans.com after the prize draw date and all prize winners have been verified.
All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor. Any entry that is late, illegible, incomplete, altered, or contains false information, is invalid. Contest Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected claims or entries or for any problems or technical malfunction of any internet or telephone network or broadcast transmission during the contest period. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any errors or omissions with respect to the printing or advertising of this contest and reserves the right to withdraw, amend or cancel this contest in the event of a printing or administrative error.
The Contest Sponsor accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by the awarded prizes or the contest itself. By entering, entrant releases and holds harmless Contest Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies and advertising, promotional agencies and all of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Contest Entities") from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest or any prize won.
Without limiting the release of liability provisions herein, and for greater certainty, the contest entities will not be liable for:
a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by contest website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the contest;
b) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation of the contest website or any transmission in connection with the contest;
c) any communications line failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries;
d) any problems with, or technical malfunction of, any telephone network or lines, or failure of mobile device or mobile web browser, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or failure of email which may occur for any reason whatsoever, including technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or text messaging system or combination thereof; or
e) any injury or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this contest. If the contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause of any nature whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the contest entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of this contest, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the contest, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way.
In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an email entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
Selected entrant may be required to provide the Contest Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. If a dispute cannot be resolved to the Sponsor’s satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible.
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual from the contest, and to ban that individual from any future promotion of the Contest Sponsor, if the Contest Sponsor finds or believes such individual to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or where applicable, the contest website; to be acting in violation of the contest rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass the Contest Sponsor, the Contest Sponsor’s agencies, other entrants or any other person.
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
In the event the Sponsor is impeded or prevented from continuing with the Game as planned or intended by any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to fire, flood, natural or manmade epidemic or health hazard or crisis, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared), any federal, Provincial, or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis, the order of any court or jurisdiction, or by any other cause not reasonably within the Sponsor’s control, then subject to any governmental approval which may be required, the Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, extend or terminate the Game.
By entering this contest, except where legally prohibited, each verified Winner hereby agrees and grants the Game Entities the right, but not the obligation, to use his/her name, voice, and likeness, along with his/her address (city/town and Province/Territory) and any statements made by or attributed to such Winner in any and all media (including the Internet), now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity and throughout the universe for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the Contest and other promotions without further notice, review, approval or compensation, and releases the Game Entities and all directors, officers, employees, agents and franchise owners of one or more of the Game Entities and the Game Entities’ respective divisions, parents, subsidiaries or affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, representatives, service agencies, or independent contractors from any liability with respect thereto.
If the Sponsor so elects, a potential Prize Winner may be required to submit to, and by playing the Game agrees to fully cooperate in, a confidential background check to confirm eligibility and to help ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Game will not bring the Sponsor into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule, or reflect unfavorably on the Game or the Sponsor as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Any income or other taxes (including, without limitation, federal, Provincial/Territorial, and local income taxes) on or connected with any prize, and the reporting consequences thereof, are solely the responsibility of the prize winners. If required by law, Contest Sponsor reserves the right to withhold and remit to the appropriate taxing authorities the amount of any taxes due. Any expenses which are applicable to any prize, and which are not expressly included in the description of that prize in these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of the Winner of that Prize. If a potential Prize Winner cannot accept a prize as stated, that prize will be forfeited in its entirety.
These Official Rules cannot be modified or amended in any way except in writing by a duly authorized representative of the Sponsor. Subject to the provisions of these Official Rules, employees of the Sponsor, or of any of its franchisees, are not authorized to modify, amend or waive these Official Rules.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these contest rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these contest rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
This contest is subject to all applicable laws and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
All patrons must be 18 years of age or older. Photo ID may be required.
